Zul Hijjah is the last month of the Islamic calendar. It is the month in which we perform Hajj. This month holds the highest priority after the month of Ramadan. Eid Ul Adha is also performed in the same month. This article is the conclusion of the things which all of us need to perform in the first 10 days of Zul Hijjah.
Things to Do in Zul Hijjah:
Fasting
It is the sunnah of our beloved prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to fast on the 9th day of this month. He has also urged the Ummah to fast, as it is one of the best deeds.
Takbeer
It is also a sunnah of our beloved prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to say takbeer “ALLAH HO AKBER”, “Alhamdullilah”, “La ilaha ill-Allah”. It is compulsory to say these three words loudly in the mosque during the first ten days of this month.
Performing Hajj/Umrah
This part holds the highest priority, as it is one of the pillars of Islam. One needs to perform Hajj, once in his lifetime in the holy Makkah. Meanwhile, Umrah is an optional thing but is very beneficial.
Sacrifice
One should choose a healthy Animal and should spend money as much as he can to sacrifice an animal in the name of Allah on the day of Eid Ul Adha.
Repentance
This is one of the core things everyone should follow, one should leave all the wrong doings in this month and ask Allah for his mercy and forgiveness for the sins you have committed. Indeed, Allah is most beneficial and merciful for all the mankind in this world.
